The metro station is on the Red Line and serves the neighborhoods of Woodley Park and Adams Morgan in north west DC. At 160 feet deep, Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Station has the second deepest station in the metro system.
Although it is the official National Zoo station because of its proximity to the zoo, the National Zoo sits equidistant from two Metro stops: Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan and Cleveland Park.
