The Women in Military Service for America Memorial and its education center feature exhibits filled with never-before-seen artifacts, photographs, documents, memorabilia and uniforms; the film In Defense of a Nation; and a computerized Register containing the stories of some 350,000 military women.
The memorial is next to the Arlington National Cemetery and is directly across Memorial Bridge from the Lincoln Memorial at the end of Memorial Drive. Parking is available for a fee at the Visitor's Center at Arlington National Cemetery.
The Women in Military Service for America Memorial opens at 8:00am - 5:00pm (October 1 - March 31) and 8:00am - 7:00pm (April 1 - September 30). It opens every day except December 25.
The Arlington Cemetery Station is the closest metro station to the Women in Military Service for America Memorial. The station is on the Blue line of the Washington DC Metro. For directions, see the map below.
