The McPherson Square Metro Station has two side platform and two tracks. Each train goes in two directions named for the last stop on the line.

Orange Line: Vienna/Fairfax-GMU --- New Carrollton
The Orange Line goes in two directions: New Carrollton and Vienna/Fairfax-GMU.

McPherson Square Station
The McPherson Square Station is located between McPherson Square and Franklin Square in Washington DC. The metro station opened on July 1, 1977 and serves the Orange and Blue Lines. McPherson Square is the closest metro station to the White House. The station is situated between expensive, high-end restaurants and yet much of the area is occupied by homeless people.
McPherson Square has two entrances on I Street at Vermont Avenue and 14th Street NW. The Vermont Avenue exit is right underneath the Department of Veterans Affairs building.
Washington DC Metro
Metro is the subway system connecting Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland. The system is operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA).
