Metro Exits: The station has 3 exits (see below). L'Enfant Plaza is a big and complicated metro station. Make sure you know what direction you are heading in advance before you leave the station. You can end up blocks from your destination if you pick the wrong exit.
The best exit is at the L'Enfant Plaza shopping mall concourse at D Street and 9th Street. The shopping mall is outdated, but it's in the process of being renovated. At the concourse, you will find a McDonald's and some cafeteria-style eateries which are open 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and are closed on weekends.

L'Enfant Plaza Metro Platform
The L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station is served by four trains. Each train goes in two directions named for the last stop on the line. The Blue and Orange Lines are on an island platform on the lower level of the station. The Green and Yellow Lines are on a pair of side platforms on the upper level.
Green Line: Branch Ave --- Greenbelt
The Green Line goes in two directions: Branch Ave and Greenbelt.
Orange Line: Vienna/Fairfax-GMU --- New Carrollton
The Orange Line goes in two directions: Vienna/Fairfax-GMU and New Carrollton.
Blue Line: Franconia-Springfield --- Largo Town Center
The Blue Line goes in two directions: Franconia-Springfield and Largo Town Center.
Yellow Line: Huntington --- Fort Totten / Mt Vernon Sq / 7th St-Convention Center
The Yellow Line goes in two directions: Huntington and Fort Totten.
However, the last station is Mount Vernon Square / 7th Street - Convention Center during peak hours. On weekdays, peak hours are from 5:30-9:30 a.m. and 3-7 p.m. On weekends, peak hours are from 2 a.m. to closing.

DC Circulator:
Convention Center - SW Waterfront
This Circulator connects the Convention Center to the Southwest Waterfront in Washington DC. The bus stops at Chinatown, the Verizon Center, Pennsylvania Avenue, and Constitution and Independence Avenues along the National Mall.
Smithsonian - National Gallery of Art Loop
This Circulator loops around the U.S. Capitol Building and the National Mall. It only runs on weekends and holidays between April and October.

(16F) - Columbia Pike - Federal Triangle Line

Bike Parking at L'Enfant Plaza Station
L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station has 6 bike racks. Bicycle racks are available for free on a first-come, first-use basis. If you are new to riding to a Metro station, practice locking up your bicycle. Bikes have different geometry, and Metro has different types of racks at each station.
Note: Do not lock your bicycle to railings, sign posts, benches, and other unauthorized areas around the station. Such bicycles are subject to removal without notification.
